  2. at the moment if you want to have Debian running on your powerpc you must have an ATI, cause is pretty hard to run any nvidia chip.

  3. only want to share something more... this week i was looking the way to stream video from my powermacg4 that i use for server to my old TV, cause i have a multimedia HD that i want to give to my father, so i linked my 1,2 Ghz ibook and 1,25 GB RAM to the TV and try to play using the wifi a movie with VLC on OSX 10.5, the result was awful (long loading time and bad sound), try the same with a powerbook with only 1GHz and only 512 MB of RAM, with Debian on it, and the reault was fantastic this time, VLC works great on Linux, video and audio were smooth and clean. So great that i am trying to optimize the parameters.
